We are beginning to plan a five night visit as a couple to Paris next April. We seem to remember scene in a Rick Steves TV episode where Rick talked about the place he was staying, stepped outside, and right there was a view of the Eiffel Tower. Can anyone help us find the name of that bed and breakfast or small hotel? If not, is there such a place to be found? Thanks a lot.

Yes the small hotels he mentions are on Rue cler. There are many with diff rates. The ones without a/ c are the cheapest. Generally continental brfat at these hotels are additional. For same cost there are many cafes there which are wonderful and cost simliarly with more variety.
Ck Hotel Kensington a bit tired but price is right and from the door is Eiffel tower view and a 5 min walk.

We stayed in this B&B last year and loved it! You have a view of the tower and are steps away from a convenient Metro station. We felt very local as we were surrounded by Parisians, not other travelers.
