My wife and I will be in Beaune in Aprtil and have rented a car in hopes of enjoying the area and perhaps visiting a couple of wineries in the Cote de Beaune. Our hotel base is in the town for three nights. Any recommendations for drives in the area, wineries we could visit with and without reservations or other tips and tricks for our road time would be apprecited.

Hi Joe,
I would always make a reservation when visiting a winery in France. Only a few of them will welcome drop ins. It's quite different than North America.
Some of my favourite visits were Comte Senard (Rick Steves reco), Louis Jadot, Chateau Pommard, Marchand-Tawse, and Chateau Meursault.
