I'm looking at possibly prebooking a wine tasting at Patriarche in Beaune. Trying to decide between the sommelier guided Bacchus
tour with 5 tastings and the Interactive video tour with 13 tastings. The price difference is only 3euros. My preference would be the sommerlier guided tour, if it is in English. Anyone have any suggestions/knowledge about the tours?

Patriarche is a very, very old wine house in Beaune with many different offerings. The wine it sells under its own name isn't the highest quality, but it has a wide portfolio. Someone who posts regularly really enjoyed the tour there, so maybe that person will chime in.
Hi, that might have been me to whom Bets is referring. We found English spoken by the staff we encountered at Patriarche. We started the tour with the guide, but at some point we were left to wander through the caves on our own and were able to pour tastes into our silver cups as much and as often as we wished. Therefore, the exact details are a bit fuzzy. I do remember the bathrooms were a hike from where we ended up in the gift shop, so be sure to take advantage of them when you see them. :)

Yes, I'd choose that tour again. The environment was interesting and it was well-located, easy to get to on foot, etc. We enjoyed it a great deal.
