Having a hard time finding a Gite or VRBO rental that is a detached cottage, not adjacent to other cottages, in the middle of a field, vineyard, etc., and not in the middle of a village. What is a nice area to look around, after Beaune? We like to hike, bike, eat and nap.

look up maison de charlotte in Volnay. Smack dab in the middle of a vineyard -- Domaine Francois Buffet. Stayed there in 2015 and loved it.
