Can anyone suggest a modestly priced apartment or house rental in the heart of Beanue for a two-night stay in June? This seems to be a more affordable option than staying at a hotel or even a B&B. We want to walk to shops and restaurants, but will have a car, so parking is a must. Also, any thoughts about ideal locations would be a help. Thank you.

I am looking into the same question and I have found it challenging to find what you are looking for. The best option I could find was this place, http://www.laurabradbury.com/le-relais-du-vieux-beaune
but it requires a 4-night stay minimum. My research led me to either extend my stay to 4 nights, or stay in a hotel/B&B.

I stayed in a horrible, but well rated, hotel in Beaune. Try Airbnb. I've had better luck with them. They often prefer at least two to three night stays but it's rarely a strict requirement.
Inside the ring road is all walkable, so anything close to that is good. I'd suggest the south half of that area. I've walked through most of it and found the area is better maintained and there are more services (nice restaurants/shops) closer to the Hotel Dieu.
