I had planned to travel by train from Bayeux to Paris on 8 May and then take another train to Luxembourg. The SNCF show only one option due to construction on the Nomad line. Has anyone found another way to get to Est other than BlaBla bus?
Is there a specific time you need to be in Paris? I just ran your date on SNCF Connect and saw several options going into Gare St. Lazare. Then it’s just a taxi ride to Gare de l’Est.
I realize I have to taxi to Est. My goal is catch a train that will leaves for Luxembourg at 10:40.
Looks like the earliest train that day will arrive too late for your departure to Lux. Any chance you could return go Parus the evening before?
Always be in Paris the night before a high stakes morning flight or train trip.
Unfortunately, there are some never-ending weekend engineering works on the lines between Paris and Normandy... many weekends are basically trainless, and I am not sure you will find trains on 7 May either. At least not direct trains.
- If you do not have to be in Luxembourg at a specific hour, you could reschedule to an evening train on 8 May. I am seeing Bayeux-Paris trains starting in the afternoon.
- If you need to be in Luxembourg by lunchtime on 8 May, you will have to find a way to get to Paris on the 7th. There might be some connections through Caen & Argentan or Caen & Le Mans. It will be slow, but it will get you to Paris that evening.
