Interested in a side day trip from Bayeux to Giverny. How easy is this to do by train or bus?
Or, are there tour companies providing this service from Bayeux?

Unfortunately, this is not very easy by train or bus. Even by car, it is not that short of a drive.
It is much easier from Paris: could you stay an extra day in Paris instead, before flying out?
You could even spend your final night in Vernon/Giverny and arrange a car transfer to the airport.
Or spend your first night there after landing!
