My wife and I, our daughter, son-in-law, and 8-month-old grandson will be in Bayeux next month. We are going to a family reunion near Poitiers (which is the reason for traveling with an infant). What I'm looking for are recommendations for the best restaurants in Bayeux where it would be appropriate to dine with an infant. He is well-behaved and generally quiet during restaurant meals, but we don't want to take him where he would not be welcome. Any recommendations would be gratefully received. Thanks!
We had some of the best meals in Normandy and Bayeux specifically. For the life of me I cannot recall one restaurant in particular in Bayeux whose meal we still reminisce about 2 years later! I don't think you can go wrong anywhere there honestly.
Dining room at Hotel Lion D’Or was recommended to us when Rapier was sold out. Excellent cuisine and an accomodating staff.
Agree with Veteran Traveler about Lion D'or. It was quite a few years ago, but I can still remember the meal. They do consider themselves a family friendly restaurant .
Veteran Traveler and Leslie, that is good news as we are spending three nights at Lion d'Or in October and I was tossing up whether to book into the restaurant for our first evening.
You have made the decision easy.
