In search of a hotel for Bayeux in autumn. We are a group of 3 couples seeking a hotel that is walkable to restaurants, etc.
We are staying again next month at a great B and B Villa Aggarthi just one block from the Bayeau tapestry which I think will be closed when you are there. I know they have rooms for at least three couples maybe more. It is lovely.. Easy walk to town center and restaurants.
We enjoyed our stay at historic Hotel Lion d’Or and its dining room is exceptional. I love their breakfasts too which included a favorite of mine, bread pudding.
The hotel is easily walkable to the historic sites in Bayeux.
In 2018, my husband and I stayed at the Villa Lara Hotel in Bayeux. We enjoyed it a lot, and it was very walkable to restaurants.
You could also look into Hotel Villa Lara. As long as you stay in central Bayeux, you'll find more charm, shops and restaurants than you could want.
I stayed at the Reine Mathilde. Very nice. Great location. I was in one of the annex buildings.
Following this thread as we are headed to Bayeux in mid May. Many of the above are already sold out so please keep those recommendations coming.
The Churchill Hotel doesn't get the high ratings that it used to, but they are still good, and the location is perfect. We stayed there way back in 2010, so my good opinion doesn't really matter.

In 2019, we stayed at the Hotel d'Argouges. It's a short distance from the Churchill, and it was absolutely lovely. At the time, RS tour groups stayed there.

If your group will be staying in Bayeux on a Monday, I think you should make your dinner reservations in advance. Many Bayeux restaurants are closed on Monday, and there aren't that many to start with.
In November we booked a stay at Hotel Le Bayeux. It turned out they were under construction so they moved us to Belle Normandy. That hotel was lovely, and the people at Hotel Le Bayeux couldn’t have been nicer to deal with, so I would absolutely recommend either one!
