Hi - We’ll be visiting the Normandy area in September - thanks to everyone who have already pointed us toward Overlord Tours - super helpful ! Does anyone have a recommendation for a nice, clean hotel in the downtown area (price range around $200 USD/night) ? Thanks !

We stayed at the Hotel d Argouges when I was there on a Rick Steves Tour. Well located in the downtown area, yet back from the road with a lovely garden. Breakfast was excellent, rooms clean and spacious by France Standards.

The historic Hotel Lyon d’Or, family owned for generations, in center of town with parking, excellent restaurant. Many of WWII’s heroes have stayed here, Churchill, Ike, etc

We loved the Churchill and it is located very close to the pick up spot for the Overlord beach tours and is just across the parking lot from the Bayeux Tapestry and an easy stroll the Cathedral. Old fashioned hotel with walls filled with WWII memorabilia.
