We are leaving Bayeux on Friday, June 13, 2025 by train in the morning. Wondering if it's too risky to try to travel to Paris Saint-Lazare train station, then on to CDG by taxi and try to catch a 3:30pm flight to Florence or the next flight at 5:50pm? I've heard navigating CDG is a nightmare, so just concerned if there will be enough time. Have to be in Florence by mid-day Saturday, June 14th. I realize one little glitch could throw a wrench in the whole plan, but just asking about timing right now.
Could you fly out of Orly instead. We just flew Florence to Orly so I know there are flights. In fact most Florence flights from Paris land in Pisa which involves the additional hassle of getting to Florence by train from there. Orly is connected to Paris by metro -- the 14 . You can get the 14 at St. Lazare and it is an easy shot then to Orly and for a domestic flight you only need to be there a couple of hours ahead. Orly is new, has elevators at every stop and has many fewer stops so it is faster. The ticket is about 12 or 13 Euros and I think you can get it on your phone -- but I don't do that so don't know the details. Orly is also an easier smaller airport to negotiate. We flew Vueling from Florence to Paris/Orly this fall.
