Batorama or Marin d’Eau Douce in Strasbourg ?

Hello,

We’ll be in Strasbourg on June 20 (evening) and are deciding between Batorama vs Marin d’Eau Douce (self-drive electric boat).

Our priorities are:

  • scenic views and photography

  • relaxed atmosphere (not much into history)

  • traveling as 2 adults + one 10-year-old

My main question: Can the Marin d’Eau Douce boat realistically cover the same iconic/scenic route as Batorama (Petite France, best canals, postcard views), or would we miss important sections because of route restrictions / distance?

Also, if choosing Batorama, would 8:30 PM in late June be a good time for scenery and photos?

Thanks

We did a Batorama tour this past weekend. I can't comment on the self-drive boat, but I will say I think going in the evening is smart. It was very hot in Strasbourg last weekend (over 30C) and tho the boat we were on had some air conditioning, since it is glassed in it got extremely hot. Some of the boats are totally open which then exposes you even more directly to the sun. So- evening boat ride is a good idea, plus you may get some nice sunsets around that time. Good luck with your planning!

Thanks for the information.
I will wait for others, if someone may have views on Batorama or Marin d’Eau Douce.
