Hi All, I'm planning a trip to Provence/French Riviera for the middle of July. I must see the lavender first and I'm based in Avignon for about 4-5 days. Bastille Day is on a Sunday in 2019. Should I celebrate in Avignon or should I go to my next base, Villefranche-sur-Mer? BTW, we won't have a car. I am planning to take the train to main places and then use buses or take small tours.
