Basque Country Tour in October

Trying to figure flights from Seattle to meet up with the RS Basque tour in October. Airfares are crazy high, and also miles for free flights. We are considering SEA to CDG, then train south to Biarritz. At the conclusion maybe a flight from Bilbao to CDG, then to SEA. Anyone having info on how to snag a lower airfare, ideally in comfort class would love to hear your strategy. Even considering Turkish air, with a layover in Istanbul.

I can't say I have info on snagging really low fares, but I can recommend a lower priced Premium Economy fare on Air Tahiti Nui. I am booked on the RS Basque Tour in May and we are flying RT CDG from Los Angeles. The Premium Economy fare was about $1,000 less than Air France's premium economy. I believe Air Tahiti Nui flies to Paris from Seattle as well. I flew Air Tahiti Nui's Premium Economy to CDG last October and it compared favorably to my May flight to CDG on Air France. Just make sure to book on Air Tahiti Nui's website; when I looked at their flights through American Airlines (a partner), the fares were much higher. Also, be aware that Air Tahiti Nui is different than Air Tahiti. We are flying from CDG to Bordeaux via Air France and after a couple of days taking a train to Bayonne. After the tour we will fly Vueling (Iberia's low cost line) from Bilbao to Paris.

Just made a dummy booking on Delta... Seattle to Bilbao RT mid Oct $1113 economy...$1463 comfort plus. Not bad from the left coast.
