My husband and I are going to start the RS tour of Basque Country in Bayonne where we will be arriving two days before the tour starts. Any suggestions for a food tour in Bayonne?
In my opinion, going to the Quintaou market in Anglet (right next to Bayonne) and finding a Basque restaurant is the best food tour you could do.

We will be going in Sept, did you find any interesting food tours? I am also looking for couple hour tour to do a day before the RS tour starts
We did go on a food tour in Bayonne through Viator but I can’t whole heartedly recommend it. I think you could do just as well by visiting the chocolate shops and stopping to have hot chocolate at one of them ( I forget the name but it had a beautiful window display, the owner will offer a free sample and there is a salon du thé upstairs for hot chocolate). Then visit the food market and order a glass of wine and some nibbles. So much that you could do on your own just wandering around Bayonne. There are some lovely shops selling the signature striped linens of the Basque Country. Enjoy !
Hi! I just signed up for the RS Basque tour and don't know about Bayonne, but in San Sebastian and also Bilbao there are a lot of food tours. In San Sebastian - Devour Tours, Secret Food Tours, Eating Europe, and my favorite company - Culinary Backstreets. I'm going to try to fit them in during the free time on the tour. I'm staying one extra night in Bilbao and there the tours are Secret Food Tours and Culinary Backstreets.
Can wait for this tour!
