We will be in Colmar in April 2024 for 5/6 days wine tasting and sightseeing. We have been to France several times but have not been to Switzerland. I am wondering if a day trip to Basel for a meal and walkabout is worth it? thank you!

I like Basel, but many don’t as it’s not in the mountains.
It would be an easy day trip. I did the reverse in 2021—a day trip from Basel to Colmar.
