Hello there! I think the Firemen's Balls look like fun, but I was trying to determine if they are inappropriate for my teenage daughters (17 and 15). I have been watching YouTube videos and they seem geared more for the college-aged crowd. Has anyone ever been to one and can give me some feedback? How do they determine who to sell alcohol to - are there wristbands?

My experience is outdated but when we went to one in an outer arrondissement, people bought drinks at nearby cafes and partied in the square with a band and dancing. There were families with kids and it was fine for the whole family. If you buy alcohol for your teens it is fine. Attitudes about drinking are different outside the puritan US.
I suspect different parties have different degrees of organization and vending situations.
