We are on a rather long road trip in northern France. We want to do one night staying on Mt St Michel, however, we've heard its arduous schlepping bags, and for an overnight, our needs are minimal. We don't want to leave luggage in rental car in lots (which, I believe have little to no security). Would anyone know if there's a place that has lockers or some type of paid storage, either in La Caserne, or the foot of mt st Michel? Thx in advance

Valuable items should stay with you. My plan would be to pack a small overnight bag at your previous hotel and leave it accessible in the main part of the car, where you can grab it easily. Leave larger items in the covered/trunk area, and don't open that at the MSM parking lot. There also are baggage lockers in the Tourist Information center next to the parking lot, before you catch the shuttle/navette.

Thanks Laura, is the tourist information building on the "mainland" side, or actually on mt st Michel. I ask, because if it's on mt st Michel, we would need to bring our luggage on the shuttle. I'm really hoping its on mainland, because we know it's crowded and don't want to get in others way with baggage. Thx again
