B and B in Provence before heading to Nice airport

We would like to stay in countryside B and B rather than in a city. When went were in Tuscany we had a great stay at a converted farmhouse B and B that was amazing. Our views were olive and wine vineyards. We traveled to surrounding cities from there. Planning on day trip with car to Arles, Nimes and Aix-en Provence. We disembark in Avignon from Viking cruise to start our four days in Provence.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I just returned from Provence and enjoyed my stay at Mas de l’Oulivié, 4 star hotel in Les Baux de Provence. I wanted to stay in the countryside and this hotel was perfect. Beautiful gardens and pool area with outstanding service. My private tour guide picked me up and we explored the countryside including Arles. You can easily get to Nimes and Aix-en-Provence. The village of Les Baux de Provence is just a 20 minute walk through vineyards and gardens with nice restaurants and historical sites. They have a car park so you do not have to worry about parking. It really was a lovely hotel and I would be happy to stay there upon my return to Provence.

This doesn't answer your question, but if you are going to Nice only for the airport, you have better alternatives.
The Marseille airport is two hours closer than Nice airport. Or, the TGV from Avignon or Marseille will get you to Paris or directly to CDG in three hours, much easier than driving over to Nice.

itsv, we will look into it

Bets, we selected Nice because there is a direct flight into JFK in NY. An option would be to return to Paris. In either case, we would stay a night before in Nice, Paris or Marseille. I will look into it. Haven't looked into trains yet.

Sounds like an excellent reason to go to Nice! Very good planning. I took that flight years ago from JFK to Nice and it was very convenient.

Just returned from Provence. Spent our last 3 days here: La Melizanne (thru Booking.com). I highly recommend it. Lovely grounds. Owners have lived all over the world. Lovely people. About 15 min drive outside Aix-en-Provence.

It was paradise. We flew out of Marseilles as others have suggested.
