Our family spent a day with Chris Emery, (email [email protected]), (website visitdday.com) touring the Normandy Beaches. It was just incredible! At the end of our 24 day trip, we surveyed our kids (12, 10, 8) to ask them their favorite activity. Our two boys both picked the day with Chris as their top event!
Chris had done extra planning to specifically focus our day on our family's interests. He brings a soldier's perspective (he served in British Special Forces) to the stories he tells. Our boys love World War II history, and Chris brought it to life. He frequently drew map diagrams in the sand with a stick to help us understand, or would use little props to explain a situation. He gave our son a map and compass and told him to lead us to the rendezvous point. Just an incredible day.
