Avis Car Rental Return - Paris - Gare de Lyon train station

Does anybody have experience returning a rental car at Gare De Lyon for Avis? I've already selected the location as the return but looking at Google maps, it isn't obvious to me where I should take the car. Any insight would be appreciated.

Returns at train stations are usually in the parking garage attached to the station. However, sometimes there are several garages on different sides of a station. We had to drive around Montparnasse in the dark to find the garage we thought was correct. Signage for both garage and rental agency were in tiny font.

Hopefully someone who has returned to Gare de Lyon can give you the exact location, but even then, you should still call the rental agency directly. Offices and garages change, as we found with Budget in Paris. The move had taken place two weeks prior so didn't show up in Google, while the AutoEurope voucher address was waaay off the mark, sending us to a building under construction (second time this has happened in recent years). Under the best circumstances returns can be hard to find in Paris stations and garages.

Thanks for the information. I made a call to Avis without much luck. I think I'll look a little closer now that I know where to look on Google Maps to see if there's a rental car return sign I can spy.

Good detective work. See how two different parking garages are side-by-side, owned by different companies and garaging cars for different agencies. Tom’s link makes it easy for you. Smart to pin this down in advance. If you can have the agency where you pick up call the drop off location to confirm the address, you will have covered all bases.

Bets: Not really detective work, I’ve returned at this location. I’d also scoped out the same lot as the OP and tried to return there, then was directed across the street.
