Hello! My boyfriend and I will be traveling to Provence for the first time at the end of May. We'll be staying 2 nights in Avignon and are thinking of picking up our car from there to drive to St. Remy (3 nights), and then on to Cassis (3 nights)
He is vey interested in doing some Roman sightseeing, so I thought we could stop at Pont du Garde and Nimes on our way from Avignon to St. Remy.
- Is it possible to see both Pont du Garde and the amphitheater/maison carre in one day?
- Is driving out of Avignon/into Nimes difficult?
- Would it be better to take the train from Avignon to Nimes in the morning and pick up our car in Nimes in the afternoon instead?
- Any memorable sights/restaurants/places to see on the drives between these cities?
