Hi all,
We will be travelling by car from Avignon to Carcassonne in July. My original plan was to visit Pont du Gard and Nimes en route. I especially wanted to see the amphitheater and other Roman ruins in Nimes. Now I am seeing that there are concerts planned for the amphitheater in July. Would this affect our touring the inside of the amphitheater i.e. will there be staging, etc. obstructing our views of the amphitheater? Also I have seen negative comments about driving into Nimes. Perhaps we should just spend some quality time at Pont du Gard and skip Nimes? Your thoughts on this would be most appreciated.
