Avignon-Store Luggage for afternoon visit

Has anybody recently found a place to store luggage in Avignon, France for a few hours? I understand the Central train station's luggage XRay machine went out of service in 2011. I read that maybe the bus station allows it but the bus station was redone in 2014. So has anyone stored luggage at the Avignon bus station in the last year?

Catching the train back to CDG airport in the early evening. Don't want to drag our luggage around all day.

Rick's 2015 France book states, "Baggage Storage: There is none in Avignon." If you have stayed at a hotel in Avignon, or dropped off a rental car at an office in Avignon, then those are the two most likely places to hold your bags. Otherwise, you'll have to get creative and ask nicely or offer money at another local business.
