When my wife and I visited Avignon last October, we had a wonderful lunch sitting outdoors at L'Epicerie. It's in a church courtyard off of the street very near to the Palais and had great atmosphere and food.

I had an amazing confit de cabard at la Brasserie du Théâtre. It was a chic little brasserie filled with locals. It was a hopping spot.
