Starting from April 20th, five of the best museums in Avignon are now admission free, including
• Calvet
• Petit Palais
• Lapidaire
• Requien
• Palais du Roure
And for the backpackers amongst us, I would also point out that the Calvet has some large lockable cubby/cabinets that you might be able to leave your stuff in while wandering around. So go get away from the main drag and give the rest of the historic center a try!
