Avignon Hotel Recommendations

Hello my wonderful travel community,
I've been striking out finding a suitable hotel in Avignon for a 5 night stay at the beginning of October, 2025. We're seeking recommendations for hotels in the city centre, moderately priced (up to $250/nite tops), clean, quiet to sleep and with a lift or someone available to carry luggage up the stairs for us (we're pretty old :> ). Many of the hotels are historic which we appreciate, however, without a lift, and narrow stairs which is a deal breaker for us. We are able to daily climb stairs without heavy luggage (on a 2-month trip). Thanks very much in advance and may your Thanksgiving be peaceful.

We stayed in an apt in May that had an elevator in Avignon. We booked it ahead from booking.com. It is located at 71 Rue Joseph Vernet 84000 Avignon, France. I never knew the name of the complex. The building is made up of condos that some people rent out but most of the units were owner-occupied. It has a small parking space that is included and is an easy walk into town. The unit has a washing machine, drying rack for your clothes and a full kitchen too. I think the price we paid is around your max price. The staircase in the building was not a narrow staircase if you decide you want to use that. Hope this helps.

I stayed at Hotel d’Lo Horloge in Avignon and was very happy with it. There was a lift and a very nice breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful, would definitely stay there again. It can be noisy at night if you plan to sleep with the window open ( a few boisterous groups going home from the bars).

We loved Les Jardins de Bacarane. There are stairs, but the hosts are lovely and carried our luggage up to our room. It was a wonderful place, right in the old town, close to everything.
