A club I belong to will be doing a bike and barge next May and our last destination is Avignon for I think 2 nights. We will not have transportation and will be taking the train for Paris from there. So I'm looking for any recommendations folks may have. thanks

We stayed at Hotel de L'Horloge, and we liked the hotel and the location at Place de L’Horloge. It’s an easy walk up Rue de la Republique from the train station.

We just left Avignon two days ago. We were very happy with Hotel Bristol. Beautiful common rooms, nice room. Very helpful staff. About a 5 minute walk from Avignon Centre train station.
Avignon is very walkable. I'm glad we visited.

Another vote for the Hotel L'Horloge. We had a private rooftop terrace overlooking the Papal Palace - very special
