We are planning on leaving Colmar on the TGV and heading toward Arles, where we will be staying that night. Since we will be stopping in Avignon to change trains, we would like to take the train from Avignon TGV to Avignon Centre Station and store our luggage somewhere, while we see the Palais des Papes and Le Pont d'Avignon. 1. Is this feasible? 2. Where do you suggest we store our luggage - and is it advisable to leave our laptop there also? 3. If we purchase our ticket from Avignon to Arles ahead of time, can we use it any time during the day, or do we have to purchase a ticket for a certain time? Any and all suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you.

A couple of months ago, I posted a question about luggage storage at the Avignon TGV station. You can access the thread by searching the topic, or by clicking on my name. Bottom line is that there isn't any.

Actually, I saw your question a few months ago, but I seem to recall someone mentioned another place to leave luggage. Also, I wanted to know if I could wait to purchase tix for Arles until after we saw Avignon or if we could purchase them ahead of time without knowing exactly which train we would end up taking.

Actually, I sent an email to the tourist Bureau in Avignon and asked them for suggestions. I received a very prompt and polite reply suggesting that I either leave my luggage at the Palais des Papes while sightseeing or at a private consigne des bagages located right near the tourist agency. I guess I've answered my own question, but hopefully, others can take advantage of my research.
