I would like to go to Auvers for the day - mid-week- this next week. Has anyone been there recently and can give me the latest and best travel information re round trip train from Paris. Thanking you in advance.
Seems to be straight forward. RATP is showing frequent trains from Gare du Nord, all with a single connection using the "H" line. Taking a bit more than one hour and costing 5 EUR each way.
Friends and I did this 3 years ago.
We took the RER C to Pontoise and then switched to the local line into Auvers sur Oise. We had 5 zone Navigo Decouverte cards and it was all covered, so no extra charge.
We stayed pretty late, maybe 7 or 8pm or so, and it was a little tricky getting back trying to connect the 2 lines, but it's probably easier in the afternoon.
It was a kind of pilgrimage for me. Enjoy!
Thank you we are looking foward to the visit
