We will be arriving at the Auray Brittany train station on a Sunday when the car rental is closed. Does anyone know if taxis meet the trains?
I have one experience at this station about 6 years ago but no taxis were available when we arrived -- I think there were one or two but we didn't get there first and after that none. We ended up on a rather miserable long walk with luggage to our hotel -- like a couple of miles in unfamiliar territory without good sidewalks.
It was not our finest hour in travel planning.
would check to see if Bolt is available ahead of time.
Check with your hotel or host.
Since you know when you'll arrive at the station, why not pre-book a taxi?
Here's one option among others:

In rural areas, skip Bolt and Uber if you want to be driven somewhere.
Thanks Jolui for the link! I wasn’t sure uber would work. Perfect solution.
Auray is a small town, you must indeed pre-arrange taxis. Even in larger Quimper & Lorient, you largely have to do so.
If you need a car, though, Sixt in nearby Vannes is open on Sundays. I use them from time to time.
Thanks for all the good info!
