Anyone been to this new Paris attraction? Recommend?
Yes and yes definitely.
I understand it is quite popular these days so advance tickets with an entry time are recommended. We stayed for two rounds of the presentation.
Hello RS Travelers!
Can anyone give me more information about this? I am traveling to Paris with my family (two older teen girls and Hubs and I) and I think we would all enjoy it. But it doesn't appear to be booking that far out. Is it a temporary exhibit?
Thanks!
We went early in the run; it was really wonderful. I believe that it closes soon and one hopes will be replaced by a different show. The current one is focused on Klimt, Hundertwasser and the third show is a black and white geometric thing. All wonderful, but I suspect if they aren't booking past X, that X is when it closes.
The present exhibit has been extended to Jan 6., 2019
i haven't been yet but two friends have, and say it is gorgeous. A reminder to me that I need to get tickets!!
I was there a couple of weeks ago. It is fabulous!!!
When you buy your ticket you get a timed entry but they don't clear the room so you can see the displays more than once if you like. (I did.)
The venue is a warehouse, not a theater. There are very few seats and most people stand or sit on the floor. You can move around so you see the displays from various viewpoints. The projections are on the walls, floors, pillars, people ... everywhere but the ceiling.
There are children running around "playing/interacting" with the displays on the floors and lower walls. That's really cool to see.
There are 3 different artists -- Klimt, Hunterwasser (previously unknown to me) and another which is more of a digital display. You have access to all of them, one after the other with about a minute intermission in between. They are sequential all in the same space.
You might be able to find a video of part of it so you get an idea of what it's like ... or just go and be surprised!
I loved it and hope that it comes to the States.

Wonderful! The music accompanying the Klimt portion is amazing and the CD is available in the gift shop. Also, one is a short walk away from Pere Lachaise cemetary if wanting to combine the two activities.
