Atelier des Lumières exhibits in Paris

During our trip to France in October, my wife and I plan to be in Paris for 1 day in order to see both the Van Gogh and Klimt exhibits at the Atelier des Lumieres. We will arrive in Paris by train, see the exhibits, and return to an airport hotel that evening in order to fly out the next day. Our question is how much time should be allow to view each exhibit. We want to book our train tickets from Dijon in order to arrive early enough to allow sufficient time to view these exhibits. Thank you so much.

If you are going to make the effort I would plan to sit through the Klimt twice and the Van Gogh -- well it would be fun to see the Van Gogh show twice, but the other two are not as good as the ones with the Klimt. I'd give each two hours -- at least 90 minutes. (it depends on when you come in. They are continuous.). I think each set is an hour or so. But again, if you are going to this effort, I would plan to see them through twice.

Have you checked the dates and times for the Klimt exhibit? It seems to have very limited dates in October and only in the evening. Unless I read this wrong. 🥴

I just checked the website and it looks like the Klimt exhibit is returning Aug 1-23 on Mondays to Thursdays in the evenings only in Paris.

That said, my sister went to the Van Gogh exhibit last month and she said they were there for a couple of hours because they enjoyed it so much they walked through it twice. I have my tickets for end of September and am really looking forward to it.

Buy a ticket on-line to expedite entry. The timed entry is only approximate, at least on days when the place isn't swarmed. Be aware, too, that seating is extremely limited and rudimentary.
