We arrive 11am October 1. We are staying at a hotel near the main train station. What will be the easiest way with cars limited. I read Air France bus is about 35 euro for 2 and taxi is about 55. Any suggestions are appreciated
Both of the options to get from the airport you mention should work. If you want to spend less money about 20 euros for 2 you can also take the RER B. But that is a little more complicated for someone unfamiliar with Paris. Are you staying by Gare du Nord?
There is more than one "main" train station in Paris
If you are talking about Gare du Nord then a taxi is exactly 50 Euro -- there is a fixed fee, no 'about' about it. And of course if you are very close to the station then take the RER B train for 20.60 for the two of you. either is fine. If you use the train, be pickpocket proof. There is no 'main train station' in Paris; the stations serve different parts of the country and Europe and so it depends where you are coming from which station you will end up at. St. Lazare, Nord, Est and Lyon are all on the right bank and a 50 Euro cab ride from CDG.
Whichever station you are arriving at, be aware that the taxis will only be allowed to drive at 30 km/hr.
The flat fares will not change, however.
How much is RER train to Luxembourg station from CDG airport?
Which train station are you staying near? We have always taken the RER trsin int Paris from CDG with no trouble. We than take another RER train or metro to our hotel area as needed. The directions on Google maps has been very helpful.
It is 10.30 EUR to anywhere in Paris including any change to another line.
Looks like it's going to rain, anyway.
