Arles hotels/lodging

Hello everyone! I'm looking at three nights in Arles with my husband the first week of July. We'll be traveling from Paris to Arles by train. We were not planning to get a car, so we would probably need to stay closer to town. We'd like to be under $200 for sure, but would prefer under $150 if possible. USD. Has anyone stayed at Le Mas Saint-Florent? It seems pricey, but also very pretty. The Mas Petit Fourchon (from RS France) looks great with a pool, but it is outside of town. I'm not sure if a bus is available to get to and from? And if the extra travel time in and out of town is worth it.

Are there any other lodging suggestions? Thank you so much for your time!

Our son's girlfriend recommended this hotel: Hôtel du Cloître (Hôtel à Arles) in the older section of town. We stayed at the Hôtel Jules César in Arles, which is more expensive but very, very nice last month.

I've stayed at Hotel Regence, located inside the wall and next to the river. It's close to the train station, which may be convenient since you won't have a car. If you decide to get a car you won't have any trouble parking there either. It was a good price and I enjoyed my stay there.

We enjoyed Hotel du Musee. Great location, friendly owners, pretty courtyard where breakfast is served. We asked for a top floor room with a bath. Nice room but a lot of stairs!

The walk from the station to the old town is not far, assuming you have rolling luggage. You just follow the pavement alongside the river Rhône. I stayed just one night at the 3 star Hôtel du Forum, a smallish family hotel, which was very central and had reasonable room rates; the staff were very friendly and helpful. I arrived by a taxi from Muaussane-les Alpilles arranged by my walking tour company and the taxi driver had to phone ahead to the hotel to get the code to unlock the street barrier - so you do well not to arrive by car, though the hotel can arrange parking. Rather surprisingly, given its location, it does have a pool.

There is a bus to and from the station but I was leaving early on a Sunday morning and it was easiest just to walk there.

We enjoyed our stay at the
Hôtel de l'Amphithéâtre in Arles. We walked with luggage from the train station. Quite comfortable and convenient for sightseeing in Arles. The staff were friendly and helpful. We also liked the small but pleasant garden patio. The price, I imagine, is well within your budget.
