Arles, France for Bull Games

We will be in France and Spain this summer traveling with our sons 8 and 7. We have no desire to see a true Bull Fight. I saw in the episode on Arles, France that they have Bull Games. From my research I can only find that they start the first Monday in July and then happen weekly after that. Are there any bull games before July 3rd? We have to add more day to France in order to go to the bull game on July 3rd and then can start into Spain.

Yes, there are many bull games throughout the region prior to July. These are akin to the minor leagues, although if you're like me you wouldn't know the difference. The FFCC, the organizing entity, has a calendar of events you can study. It's in French with no English version that I have found. I eventually figured out what I was looking at, so I'm sure you will too. If in doubt, ask your hotel when you arrive to help you interpret.

The difference in French is "course camarguaise", which is the non-violent French style of bullfighting, versus "tauromachie" which is Spanish-style bull-killing. The latter does sometimes take place in Arles, but if you know the French words it's easier to pick.
