Are taxis operating during the Paris strikes?

This will be my first time in Paris, scheduled to arrive April 11. Spending a few days there before meeting my party leaving in Italy. It

appears - from this forum that as long as one uses common sense that you can still visit Paris by watching the news to avoid the protests.

If indeed the strikes are still occurring in April, will the taxis still operate between the airport or should I pay the extra fee and book a driver to my hotel?

I am traveling solo. Have my Rick Steves guidebook and been studying it.

I welcome any suggestions.

Yes, they still operate. On bad strike days you may face longer waits for taxis. But there has usually been some sort of train service to Gare du Nord even on the strike/protest days. Like, today is such a day, and every other RER B is running.

Taxi drivers, (along with waiters, tour guides, and many women), are one of the groups that will mainly benefit from the reforms. I doubt if they will be going on strike.
