Arc de Triumph in late June

We are visiting Paris in late June/early July. I'd really like to view the Eiffel Tower sparkle show from the top of the Arc de Triumph. However, sunset isn't until 10PM, so my guess is the first sparkle show of the night will be at 11PM, which is right when the Arc closes.

If we are at the top of the Arc de Triumph when it closes, are we allowed to linger and enjoy the 5 minute Eiffel show, or will we be ushered out promptly at 11PM?

You will be ushered out well before 11, not at 11. They have locking up to do.

Bets is correct. But the Arc de Triomphe is still well worth going up to the top, i like it better than going up the Eiffel Tower. The view is wonderful.

Montparnasse Tower is open until 11:30pm 1 April - 30 September. Unfortunately this morning I saw that they just posted on their website that the Observatory is currently closed until further notice. Hopefully it will be open in time for your trip. However the indoor floor and view is still open.

I seem to recall that Rick mentions a hotel bar in that area that is up high, check your guidebook

I don’t care for the Tour Montparnasse, or the area. The Arc de Triomphe or the Eiffel Tower are a more fun experience imo.

The Arc de Triomphe is definitely worth a visit. I like the view more than the tower because you get to see the tower. If you can’t catch the light show from there then consider some alternatives. Nearby the Eiffel Tower is the park du champs de mars. Across the river is the Trocadero but it can be a bit crowded there.
