Arc de Triomphe time slot with Paris Museum Pass

For those who have traveled to Paris recently, I'm wondering if anyone has used the PMP to visit the Arc de Triomphe? I am reading that you can only visit with a reserved time slot. However the online ticketing site states: "The Paris Museum Pass can be presented directly to the monument, no reservation on the internet." There doesn't seem to be an option to reserve a time slot without paying. If using the PMP are you able to ascend the monument without a reserved time slot?

Conversely I was able to book time slots for Sainte Chappelle and the Louvre (both require timed entry) with the PMP so no extra $ online. Sainte Chappelle uses the same ticketing engine as the Arc de Triomphe so it's very odd that you can't book a time with the PMP for that.

Any tips from recent visitors are much appreciated! We will be in Paris 9/30 - 10/4, so will be there for the wrap of the Arc.

Funny you should ask. The Christo clan started wrapping up the Arc yesterday in an 18 million dollar fabric and labor, media present.... Words escape me.

Anyway, can you still go up while it's draped? The Christo organization says yes, but they are also selling tickets to their exhibit of plans and drawings
Is it as esthetic or less? Does it move you as much as the undraped ?

Let us know what you think.

We are in Paris now. We have walked up to most places with no time slot. They were already working on the Arc de Triomphe when we were there and it was no problem getting in. The only place we did reserve was at the Louvre and Versailles. Don’t think we needed it at the Louvre they didn’t ask. Definitely required at Versailles. We have used up our museum pass. Today we are going to Palais Garnier and have reserved a guided tour. Have fun!

@bcgirl55 thank you so much for the report, sounds like a time slot isn't really required, which is good because I like having flexible times.

@Bets I have mixed feelings. On one hand it will be cool to see Christo's work, but I have also been to the Arc twice before on previous visits to Paris in 2009 and 2011. This is my husband's first time, though (we met in 2014 and married last year 2020), and he's very interested in the Napoleonic era so is disappointed he won't be able to really see it. It just means we'll have to go again right? :)

Here's from the Paris Museum Pass website:

"L'accès à l'évènement L'Arc de Triomphe empaqueté par Christo, du 18 septembre au 3 octobre 2021, n'est pas autorisé avec le Paris Museum Pass. L'entrée vous sera refusée.

Pour visiter l'Arc de Triomphe à ces dates, achetez le billet dédié"

Ie:
The PMP won't be valid from September 18 to October 3. You have to buy a special dedicated ticket to visit the Arc de Triomphe between those dates. The wrapping of the Arc is being referred to as an "event."

Thanks @Bets! I was able to follow the link to the French site that @AshleyMIA shared and get to the billeterie there then change language to English and complete the ticketing. I had to pay, there was no ticketing option for the PMP as you said. But we are set for 10/1. :)
