Hi, seeking urban location with modern kitchen for trip to Lyon in fall. Something walkable from train station ideal. Any suggestions! Thx, DR
Are you looking at this fall? If so, the flat we rented is available for only a few days. It is on AirBnb. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/6826032?source_impression_id=p3_1727468573_P37VTjJAC4-SL1pc
It is a 20-minute walk from Part Dieu Train Station which we did with our luggage.
It was a wonderful stay. Let me know if you want more information.
Thanks Lindy! The place looks great but it is already booked for the time we're considering going to Lyon. If you have other suggestions for places to go in Lyon or day trips nearby, please advise. We want to go biking and also head toward Annecy.
Not walkable from train station (at least not for me), but we loved La Suite Marcellin from Cocoonr: Suite Marcellin Eat-in kitchen, large living room, right by a tram stop. We spent three months there in 2022.
Thank you for the suggestion, but I see they have a 1 month min, which won't work for us. It does look lovely though. If you were in Lyon in the fall, please comment on the weather and whether its a good time of year to visit. Merci.
Look on booking.com, filter for Vieux Lyon and your dates. I usually also filter for reviews of 9+ only. Read the reviews.
We have rented two very nice apartments in Lyon, walking distance from the train, using this method and it's a much more efficient way to find those that are available when you need them than asking here. Beware that most buildings in the center will have steps, sometimes a lot of steps! But the higher you are, the better the view!
Appreciate the helpful suggestion for using filters in booking.com. Glad to know if worked well for you.
