April hotel in Marais under 300€ per night

We are looking for a hotel in Marais for our 25 wedding anniversary. We will be arriving in second half of April and spending the first 10 nights in St Germain, then the second 10 nights in Marais to really experience the neighborhood. Any Marais recommendations would be greatly appreciated (preferably close to a Metro). Merci, Jim S.

I don't have a suggestion, but just in case you're not aware, the star system in France doesn't work the same way as it does here in the states. It has more to do with amenities than luxury. You'd probably be better off giving a nightly budget to get meaningful replies.

It only takes about 30 minutes to walk from St Germain to the Marais. I would not change hotels over such as short distance as it wastes valuable vacation time to pack, transfer, and unpack.

However, here are my preferred hotels in the Marais around 300€ per night.

For 20 nights total, are you sure you don't want an apartment?

And I second the advice not to switch between St Germain and Le Marais: they're 20-30 min apart, on foot.

Each of us travels differently. For 20 nights (which I did in both April/May and last October) I change hotels halfway through. I stay in the same neighborhood so my alternate hotel is just a 5-6 minute walk. Different hotel, different breakfast, different view out the windows, different staff to greet you.

BTW, I prefer a hotel to an apartment because I want someone at a front desk 24/7. I'm absolutely not going to cook as this is my break from the daily grind of cooking dinner.

Your trip, your choices!

(And sorry, no recommendations for your Marais location!)

I agree, I'll take a hotel any day over an apartment on vacation. Give me clean towels and a delicious breakfast, and I am happy.
