Hi,
Wondering if anyone can suggest some apps for making dinner reservations in France. Something like Yelp or Open Table, but for France or Europe. I've heard about "the fork" but wondering if anyone has used it? Pros and cons welcomed,

Yeah, the Fork is the main one. It's legit. (My husband works in a restaurant, and the Fork is the one that all the restaurants he has worked at have used.)

Does The Fork app work throughout France, or just in Paris?

The Fork works throughout France (and in some neighboring countries; it worked very well in Lisbon in 2019), but pickings tend to be slim outside of the larger cities.
Also, the very best places will rarely be available to book on The Fork, due to the high % of no-shows with online bookings.

You may also see an app la Fourchette. Same thing - that's French for fork...
They are a TripAdvisor product

Calling is really the best way to reserve at a restaurant. Next to that, I would check the restaurant's own website for online reservation options.

I made 4 reservations for our upcoming trip (leave tomorrow) - all through their websites. Worked just fine.
