Apparently that are some tunnels under Lyon.

These were suggested to us, to be the largest underground tunnels in Europe. They are not open to the public. Was wondering if anyone had some other info on these. I tried and got nothing.

We stayed in a small apartment that was in one of the traboubles in the Vieux Lyon section of the city. Very interesting history! They were used to move the expensive silk fabrics without exposing them to rain, etc. and later as pathways to avoid the Nazis. Some of the traboule openings are open to view. The one where we stayed was locked from the general public.

No. I'm not thinking of the passageways between the streets. There maybe a huge underground system of tunnels under the Red Cross and no one seems to be publishing anything about them: How old they are, who made them, and for what purpose. Maybe this is a myth? the internet has nothing on it that i can find. But the locals of the Croix-Rouisse district all believe they are there and have stories of some one at some point exploring these and even some state involvement. Apparently they are in the shape of the bones of a fish, and are the largest underground man made tunnels in Europe, according to locals. Has any one else even heard this story? I did find this.... https://thisislyon.fr/things-to-do/historical-monuments/lyon-fishbones/
