We are looking for a rental in Amboise as a base for touring the Loire Valley. Also, any restaurant recommendations would be appreciated.

These are not apartment rentals, but "chambres d'hotes" or bed-and-breakfast options from our France guidebook that may be of interest:
Au Charme Rabelaisien (www.au-charme-rabelaisien.com), La Grange Chambres, with a small rentable cottage as well (www.la-grange-amboise.com), and L'Iris des Marais (www.irisdesmarais.com).
My favorite restaurants in town are La Fourchette and Le Lion d'Or, also listed in our book. It would be a good idea to reserve ahead for either of those.

Thank you, I will take a look at these, and we are open to any others. Our budget is in the range of 100 euros.
