We have an early train to the Lyon airport to catch a flight to Rome. We will have about 4 hours sitting around Lyon and I'm wondering if there's by any chance something close by to do/see during that time?

The Lyon airport is not terribly close to the interesting parts of the city. Myself, I would not want to try to do anything but have a cafe and croissant. Of course, I'm famous among those who know me, for being super paranoid about missing flights.

I agree that four hours is not enough time to do anything much outside the airport.

From what I remember, that's being charitable. It seemed like the airport was in the middle of nowhere.
