Anyone have “orange shuttle” experience at CDG?

I’ll be flying MAD -> CDG -> BOS next week (one booking, fairly short transfer time). It looks like the flight from MAD to CDG will arrive at terminal 2G. The flight from CDG to BOS will depart terminal 2E. I’ve seen some references to an “navette orange” or “orange shuttle” for such transfers from 2G to 2E (or perhaps to 2F). But I don’t see this described in any detail anywhere. I’ve read other threads talking about the N2 bus that can be used, but the orange shuttle is supposed to stay “inside the airport security area” which seems advantageous.

Does anyone have experience with transferring between these terminals with this orange shuttle that can shed more light on where this shuttle is found, and what immigration or security procedures are for this shuttle? Also, if it drops off only at 2F, what options exist for getting to 2E?

I had a similar flight booked this May but changed to a transfer at Amsterdam because the CDG connection became too tight when the initial flight changed. I looked up the transfer on line and there are lots of sites that tell you what to do. Basically the critical thing is to follow signs for correspondence -- you will go through passport control and take a bus to your terminal -- if you don't do this airside you will not make the flight: here is one such site

I have been tracking the incoming flight -- when I did that for CDG my Berlin/CDG flight was usually very late up to half an hour and so I would have missed the connection about half the time. My Berlin/Amsterdam flight is often a bit late but there is enough cushion that I make it 95% of the time.

You may want to look at the flight on time history of your leading flight if the connection time is less than 2 hours to see if you need to change anything.

LOL. I just looked up my Berlin AMS flight today and it was 80 minutes late -- I would have missed the US flight today.
