We are looking at a Paris apartment for early next year and are wondering if anyone has dealt with myfrancevacationrentals.com. Thanks.
Nope. Never heard of them. We rent gîtes and Airbnbs around France several times a year and I've never heard of that organization.
Looking at their website, it appears to be a very small company, in the early phases of its operation and focusing on just a small part of France. It also seems to rely a bit too heavily on the romance and stars-in-the-eyes nature of their rental locations and not so much on practical matters.
My advice would be to tread carefully.
I agree with Sammy. The text is all starry-eyed, selling an image. I want more reality: to know if the bedrooms are on the streetside or courtyard. Is a cafe or restaurant downstairs under my windows. What floor? Air conditioning, elevator, ? Do the Paris rentals have registration numbers, or will they be shut down for being illegal. No numbers shown. I’ve never heard of this company. If you find any reviews, please let us know.
Thanks for the replies.
I found two of their apartments also listed on VRBO: https://www.vrbo.com/421430?adultsCount=2&arrival=2021-08-09&departure=2021-08-13
and: https://www.vrbo.com/356179?adultsCount=2&arrival=2021-08-09&departure=2021-08-13
The company name is listed as the property managers and the pictures are the same. The listings on VRBO include registration numbers and the reviews seem genuine. However, the newest reviews I found on TripAdvisor were 6 years old. They also have a couple of listings on Expedia and Flipkey. If I remember correctly, VRBO,Expedia and Flipkey are all the same company.
I have never dealt with the company but I have heard of it. They have been around at least since 2015. They do not seem to have a lot of apartments so that could explain the lack of reviews, etc. Have you tried doing a search with the name of the company and the word "reviews?"
