Looking for a place to lodge 4, near the city center for a reasonable price for 4 days in july. Does anybody recommend and specific hotels, airbnbs, bed and breakfasts, etc?
What is a reasonable price to you, in Euros? Are you ok with two people sharing a sofa bed? You will have a very hard time finding a hotel in Paris that sleeps 4 in real beds. You will need two rooms or an apartment.
Depending on the answers to the above questions, my family of 3 (two adults and 1 child) stayed in this apartment in December 2021 and found it very nice. It would be cramped with 4 adults, but if you're two adults and two children (and the children don't mind sharing a pull-out sofa bed), it could be an affordable option. We stayed in the winter, though, and didn't have any need for AC. In July, I'd imagine you'll want/need that - so make sure you check before you book. The apartment is a converted greenhouse/garage type building, and doesn't have any working windows.

The Hotel des Deux-Iles is as centrally located as can be on Ile St. Louis. Not sure what their rates are now, but you can check it out using several web sites. There are also a couple of other hotels on the same street, and one of them is a sister hotel. If you cross the river you will be in the Marais -- cross it the other way and you'll be in The Latin Quarter. Walk to the end of the island, cross the bridge, and you'll be at the back of Notre Dame -- such as it is now. At night it is a quiet, calm street with just moderate activity. The Metro is nearby and getting anywhere is not a problem. There are several restaurants on the island. If you decided to stay there, we can steer you to a great little place for breakfast as all hotel breakfasts seem to be over priced for what one gets. We can also tell you about several places for lunch and / or dinner on the island as well.
