Any ideas?

I wonder if anyone can help here? We have been to Paris many times and always stayed to the same hotel, Hotel des Grands Hommes, near the Pantheon. We love this place, the service is excellent, the rooms are fine...never had a complaint. Now, I have been in communication with them since May trying to reserve a triple room for the last week in December, and for some reason they do not respond to my emails, on their own website! Trying again on 6 August, I asked for a triple room, sent my CC information, and as of today still no reply! I sent a query on 13 August but nothing. This is very unlike this hotel which always in the past has always been very prompt and efficient. I of course am not going to Paris without a confirmed reservation and I am about out of patience with this hotel.
If anyone has any thoughts on this I'd appreciate hearing from you.

GOOD NEWS: The management of my hotel responded almost immediately with a very thoughtful and kind letter in which we resolved the difficulty. All is now set for our trip in December and many thanks to all for your suggestions.

There's so many options in Paris, I would pick a different hotel. (Booking.com shows that there's no rooms available that week. )

Maybe their regular staff is on vacation? I believe August is prime vacation time. You can either try calling them during French business hours or wait a few more days for a response.

My personal experience with Paris hotels is that, if they don't have availability for your dates, they often will not reply to your inquiry. So don't wait too long to go to Plan B.

Have you looked in your spam folder?

Maybe since your last time you changed or upgraded your browser or spam detector or they changed something at their end.

If they used to be in good communication and then they weren't is it that likely that that would just stop talking?

Have you tried spending a few cents and calling hem?

If you are considering booking another hotel near the Pantheon then I would recommend Hotel du Pantheon - we've stayed there and it's a recently renovated, quirky little place that we really enjoy.

You can book directly on their website but they have nothing but doubles available for the last week in Dec. I would definitely look elsewhere.

Happy to report that I was contacted by the management at the hotel with a very kind letter. We re-sent our CC info and the reservation was confirmed. This is the sort of service I had expected from this hotel and I am grateful.

Just fyi, Hotel du Pantheon and Hotel des Grands Hommes are the same owners. At least they were when we stayed there, at Hotel du Pantheon. And they are next to each other.
