Any experience with tour companies from Avignon to other part of Provence?

Hello All,

I am wondering if anyone has had personal experience/recommendation using a travel company from Avignon to other parts of the region.

I am looking at the official tourism website (https://avignon-tourisme.com/en/discover/continuing-on/discovery-excursions-and-theme-outings/) to start but there are a lot of options so if anyone has had any first hand experience to share, that would be great!

Thanks in advance for your time!

Best Regards,

Angie

In 2015, we used Provence Panorama for a couple of small-group tours - both of which were outstanding.

My brother's family used them the next year for a couple of tours, with the same positive result.

I didn't check the current reviews on TripAdvisor before posting, but I relied on TripAdvisor reviews to choose Provence Panorama in the first place.

The TI in Avignon runs tours out of there (I think it’s Provence Panorama.) I booked a half day tour that morning for the afternoon after I discovered the bus to Pont du Garde was on strike. This particular tour, “Stone Monuments” did Pont du Garde, Les Baux and another Roman monument (Gladius?) I found it to be very handy and worth the money. Our guide was very nice and pretty informative, happy to answer questions. Although we did not have much time at Les Beaux, there’s no way I would have been able to manage that on my own via public transport. Even Pont du Garde would have been difficult. I would definitely recommend these tours if you don’t have a car. I’ll just note, driving around all day can get rather tiring. I’m not sure I’d enjoy a full day of that.
